Spring Squeezing Contest ~ Judges Profile
So often in a contest, you hear little about the judges. We wanted to take some time to give you more about the judges for our Spring Squeezing Contest…and of course, keeping it cheeky.
KeyeCullen is pure FUN! Between
being married and a mom, she finds that precious time to devote naughty
thoughts to Rob. *sighs* Who can
blame her, really! And when she isn’t thinking about Rob and his, um, assets,
she is spending her time over at Free Writers and Readers where she is an admin, helping the newbies, as well
as admin on one shot contests that FWAR hosts. Busy little bee KeyeCullen is.

IamTheAlleyCat must be a cat
in real life with all the things she does. She apparently needs nine lives to
do everything! *snickers* Not only
does she write, bringing us beautifully painted words that bring us into her world of
Twilight, as well as Buffy, Angel and Bones, mixing and weaving them together
in order to bring us new stories, but she is a Technical Beta and a Creative
Beta for Sparkly Red Pen. If that wasn't enough, she lends her talents to to the Wordy Bitches blog as an admin, and this year she organized the Easter Bunny Twilight Fic Sway Event too!
Busy right? I KNOW!
IamTheAlleyCat is also a very sweet and generous person,
giving her time to writers and friends all over the globe. She has a particular
love for Carlisle/Bella fics, so feed her addiction by sending her fic recs.

GermanAkice is a true fan. Among her love of Twilight she
has a deep appreciation of manga, Anime, Harry Potter, the “Inheritance” Trilogy
by Christopher Paollini, “The Tales of the Otori” by Lian Hearn, Nora Roberts
and Kai Meyer (German author). Her Twilight fanfic, The Other Side of Tomorrow,
is a great place to start with her works, giving you a different kind of Bella
after New Moon. She is a movie goer, a book reader, a writer and a fan of
American T.V. *coughs-ONCE-coughs* And not only does she reside in Germany,
she speaks (reads and write) English, she is attending University for Japanese!
And if that isn’t enough, she is one of the persons organizing the UK TwiFicMeetup (August 2012).
SaritaDreaming is a motley of adjectives, the list so long that we don't have enough space to write them all. A few on the short list include: sweet, kind, generous, funny, cheeky, and of course busy. SaritaDreaming has a lot on her plate these days to balance. Not only is she a mother but in her own words, she is obsessed with all that is Twilight. If someone was interested in Twilight, I would suggest them reading the
books before watching the movies. Smutty fanfics are good all the time I
would think since not many are 'word for word' to the books and are
often just spin offs with a little somthin' dirty.
2.) Be honest, in reading fanfic, what have you learned about sex that you didn't know before?
The man's point of view on what sex feels to them. As I am female,
I have no idea what having an erection feels like or what it's like
having a woman's touch, or entering her body. It's very interesting
since I want to go further into writing from a MPOV.
3.) Do you get tingling when writing your lemons? If yes, explain why is that important to you.
In the beginning, no, I felt nothing while writing lemons other
than the heat on my face from embarrassment. I had no idea what I was
doing when I first started writing, and I'm still learning. Every now
and then I will admit to getting a tingling feeling in the pit of my
stomach as my ability to write sex became more easy and I started
developing a 'flare' and a 'feel' for it.
4.) What's your favorite sexy times position to read about in fanfic, but that you aren't too crazy about in real life?
I like shower sex in fanfictions. There are so many ways you can play that card while writing to make it hot and passionate, or just a lazy, sweet way to wake up in the morning. However, in the real world, my shower is tiny so it is rather awkward, and the tile is cold as hell against you back. Sometimes I like being dominant which is nearly impossible in that stupid shower. Great idea in writing, but not in reality where I'm living.

It depends on the style of writing and that is happening in the plot along with the personality of the characters. If they are loud and outgoing, then I expect the lemon to reflect them. Sometimes though having sweet and meaningful love is better though. It also depends on the day and what I am interested in at the time, I suppose.

Now this I know I can't pick between! The lemon I want to read all depends on the intensity, style and plot of the fic! Sometimes, I want pure smut to get my pulse racing and my mind whirling, in which case it's the latter. Other days, I'm in a lighter mood and I want something that's more loving and emotion based, in which case I'd want the first type of lemon.

I would tell them to read the books first, then to watch the films
for a good laugh, and then to go and read lots of smutty fanfic!

I have learned practically everything other than the basic sex-ed
stuff by reading fanfic. I'm a virgin, so everything I write is what
I've learnt from books or reading fanfiction. I'm happy to say that it
turns out to be realistic and hot/passionate/sweet, whatever I'm going
for in that particular lemon :)
3.) Do you get tingling when writing your lemons? If yes, explain why is that important to you.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. When I
first started my lemons weren't that good and I had no experience
writing them so I was more embarrassed than anything else. Now, I'm
pleased if I do because I know I'm on the right track, and hopefully it
will come through in my writing so other people experience those same
emotions. It's the same principle as when writing other scenes. I want
to ensure that my readers feel particular emotions, and if I feel them
when writing it, I'm more confident that they'll also feel it.
4.) What's your favorite sexy times position to read about in fanfic, but that you aren't too crazy about in real life?
Hehe, I don't think I can answer this one since I still have my V-card. Ask me in a year or so and I might be able to answer! :D

Certain songs, or lyrics to songs have given me inspiration for a lemon.
My most popular lemon/smut one-shot was inspired by Chris Brown's Beg
For It. *hums tune* Pictures, things that I've read about, even
conversations have inspired my lemons. I've also used real life issues
as inspiration. Once again, it all depends upon the plot. If I want a
hot, horny, down and dirty lemon, I have a playlist of songs that get me
into that mindset and I'll maybe go and re-read a couple of my
favourite smut fics. If I want it sweet and loving, I have a different
playlist that I use. I also look up quotes, and sometimes even
flick through books. Ooh, and dreams! Can't forget about those. ;D

I think it needs to be a mix of everything. There needs to be enough detail to get you all tingly, but enough missing so that you can add your own flavors. It also depends on the situation. Some require it all played out so that it is hot, steamy and brings out the freak inside, but some times in a story, it needs to be left to the readers imagination. These I find best when written with foreplay, but lave you to finish the lemon in your mind. So, yes, once again I am greedy with my lemons, and want a mix of both.

I would tell them to read the book’s first. To be honest I bought the movie
on a whim. At first I had no interest in it, but soon became hooked. Once you
read the books, you get to feel the emotion and love between them. You can
interoperate things on how you read and see them in your mind and not on screen.
So yes, I say books first, then go dive into the smutty goodness. It’s fun to
read them in different situations and picture them living it. For me, it makes
it easier to place myself in the story with them. (OK, so maybe have I replace
Bella with myself a time or two *wink wink*)
2.) Be honest, in reading fanfic, what have you learned about sex that you didn't know before?
OK, so I will be 32 this year and have two children, I think
it is safe to say that I know a thing or two about sex. What I didn’t know, was
that BDSM is not at all what I thought it was, and this it has quickly become an
obsession of mine. Yes it is raw and deliciously dirty, and I love all the
smutty naughtiness, but it’s the tenderness behind it all. I have learned that.
I learned that I secretly want to gently be punished and then loved and cared
for after.
3.) Do you get tingling when writing your lemons? If yes, explain why is that important to you.
In two words...of course. when one is writing a lemon, you are doing it to
excite the reader, and lets face it, when you write, you want the reader to be
there in the story, you want the emotion to be there. to me, if my lemons don’t
make me want to jump my husband after, then the reader wont connect with it
either. I have read more than my fair share of lemons. Some have been OK, but a
bit bland. They got the point across, but done draw you into it. Then there are
some where I have honestly gone back just to read them again. That is what I
strive for. I know they may not all be there yet, but it is important to me that
my readers fell the emotion, that they can feel the touches and kisses. well you
get the idea. If I don’t tingle from my lemon, I rework it until I do. I
probably should not admit this, but I sometimes incorporate real life
experiences in them. Now you get to read my stories and figure out what ones I
have lived, and what ones I have conjured up in my mind. lol.
4.) What's your favorite sexy times position to read about in fanfic, but that you aren't too crazy about in real life?
Hmm, this is a harder one. I
have been with my husband for fourteen years, so there have been a lot of
positions. And I will take this question as all sexy times acts. I guess I would
have to say sitting on his face. It’s hot when you read it, and I love to
picture it, but its just awkward for me.
5.) Who would be your ultimate, non-canon pairing for a smut fest in Twific?
So if I had to choose a non-canon it would be Edward and Jasper. It’s
weird, there is not much that I will not read, but slash is not normal one of
them. This paring though, I don’t know, there is just something hot about it. I
don’t often read other stories where Bella and Edward are not together, I just
find it hard to read, but throw me a story with these two boys and I’m game.

I am a bit greedy when it comes to my lemons. I want it rough and tied

Real life. I can’t listen to music while I write, I get to distracted. I
love it when other authors put photos in, sometimes it really helps you see
where they are going. For me, it use real life. Sure I know that what works for
me, will not work for every one, but I life to play out my fantasies in them as
well.

say the first thing that comes to mind is the nice little toy that he left for

I think of about two things when I write a lemon, after I finish panicking about how the hell I'm gonna write this lemon: 1.) What's sexy to me? and 2.) How does it add to what's going on in the story right now. I add a little music sometimes but I mainly focus on those two things. Also, I really need to watch more porn, I just never know where to start with it.

The way I got into Twilight was probably the way I'd suggest anybody
to come into Twilight. I was forced to read the books when I was 17 by a
friend, from there I was completely addicted to it and was right there
for when the movie released. After all that, I stumbled onto fanfic by
accident. I'd never even heard of fanfiction so when I started reading
it, I had a good understanding, appreciation and love for Twilight even
if later I think that of all the Twilight stuff, Twific is the best part
of it.
2.) Be honest, in reading fanfic, what have you learned about sex that you didn't know before?
Absolutely everything. I was lily white and the first fanfic I ever
read was from a C2 called Graphic Lemons. I had no idea what a lemon was
nor that it could be so graphic. About a year later I learned about
slash and the slash community was way helpful in helping me learn every single term. In short, because of twific...I'm confident I could direct a successful porno.
3.) Do you get tingling when writing your lemons? If yes, explain why is that important to you.
I actually don't get a tingle lol I think it's because I'm so busy

Against the wall. The idea freaks me out. I'm afraid of heights,
I'd be so scared of falling that I wouldn't be able to think straight.

Jasper/James/Riley Giggity.
6.) Sweet and gentle in the bedroom or rough and tied up in the playroom?
At first I'd want him to do something sweet and meaningful, but after that you want to know what else he's capable of.
7.) How do you like your lemons best: sweet, meaningful and a little abstract so you can infer things, or hot, descriptive, and straight-forward? And tell us why!
I outline every story I write before I get too far. I take my
ideas and write them out in a methodical way but when I write lemons
it's far more hectic and in the moment and I think it helps a little.
When I write something I always want it to be meaningful, so when I
write a lemon I want it to be there because it adds to the story or its
message. If I wrote a lemon every chapter, the plot would be lost for me
and turn into 'Okay, let's see how kinky we can get every chapter' Not
to say I don't like hot and heavy fucking from a one shot or something,
but I'd like to think there's always more to that. That every single
part of a story has meaning.
8.) What's serves as your inspiration when writing a good lemon? Music? pics? real-life experience?
I think of about two things when I write a lemon, after I finish panicking about how the hell I'm gonna write this lemon: 1.) What's sexy to me? and 2.) How does it add to what's going on in the story right now. I add a little music sometimes but I mainly focus on those two things. Also, I really need to watch more porn, I just never know where to start with it.

A briefcase. He's on a business trip and he's lonely. The
bartender, Jacob, listens to his troubles and then takes him for a
nightcap. Pure cliche, lol

Readingmama/Vampiremama has been around the fandom for some time, since 2009, and has quite a few stories under her belt. She is a part of a wonderful Facebook community called Fanficaholics Anon, where she gives much of her time in helping those of us who just can't get enough of fanfic. She is a talented writer who paints pictures of her stories with words that suck you in and make you feel something for her characters. From Gloaming, which gave us a different version of Twilight with a Bella who never met the Cullens until her 30s, to Beautiful Savage where she takes the impossible life of Savageward and turns into a most beautiful love story. We are certain that if you read any of her stories, that you will be touched, turned on and begging for more.
We gave all of our authors a little questionnaire, so let's check out her answers.
1.) If someone was interested in Twilight, would you tell them to read the books first, watch the movies first or read nothing but smutty fanfic?
I would tell them to watch the movies, then read the books and then move on to the smut. That way you build up to the best. Watching a movie first never wrecks the books but reading and then watching can leave a bad taste for the movies. Besides, the soon to be twihard needs to have the visuals down for when Fanficward goes down.
2.) Be honest, in reading fanfic, what have you learned about sex that you didn't know before?
*Laughs* I honestly don't think much, but I've learned a lot about writing sex that I didn't know. And now I feel like I can write anything and as long as I think it's hot, there will be others that find it hot as well.
3.) Do you get tingling when writing your lemons? If yes, explain why is that important to you.
No, I find if I don't keep my, uhm....head clear then I miss some of the important things in the scene.
4.) What's your favorite sexy times position to read about in fanfic, but that you aren't too crazy about in real life?
In the shower, it's not as easy as it sounds in fanfic. Perhaps when I build my tiled shower with a bench in it I may change my tune.

I couldn't possibly choose just one. There is a place for everything, except golden showers, there is not place for those in my house.

I like my lemons to move the plot forward. If I don't care about the characters it is never hot to me. I need to know who is fucking and why, and then I can enjoy it to the fullest. I like the lemons where you know the character first, then you can really feel how they are feeling. For me the plot leading up to the lemon is the foreplay, it can be fun without it but it won't leave as lasting an impression.

If he stares at the door long enough, perhaps he can make her appear.

Squeeze My Lemon ~ April 18 Teaser
The week we are being squeezed by Readingmama/Vampiremama with her entry for our Spring Squeezing Contest, called Permanent Press, which won 1st Place (2-way tie) on the judges vote, and 3rd Place on the public vote. Enjoy the teaser!
Placing her basket on the washer, she lifted the top and shoved her things in. Just as she placed her money in the slots, she heard a moan.
The moan.
Well, this won't be a total waste, she thought.
She pushed in the quarters, and as soon as she heard the water start, she moved silently over to peak around the end of the machines.
They were in the same position, she pressed against the wall and he pressed against her. He wore a shirt this time, navy blue, but the girl had pushed it up in the back with her hands, and Esme could see the white band of his underwear. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes, remembering what it felt like to have a man enfold her like that. The way the warm breath would float over her neck, she could almost feel it.
"I knew it. You're a naughty girl, Esme."
Esme grabbed her chest and spun around to face Jasper. No wonder the feeling had been so real; there really had been warm breath on her neck. Jasper had a look of playful mirth on his face, but it only caused Esme to chastise herself. It wasn't fair to lead this man on. She planned on telling him she wasn't interested when he held up a peace offering.
"I brought coffee," he stated and held up the two cups. "I didn't know how you liked yours, so I have cream and sugar in the bag. He nodded toward the brown paper bag on the machine next to him.
She eyed the coffee for a moment. "You were pretty sure I would come."
"I wasn't sure, but I hoped."

Etched In InkFest
This week we wanted to bring you some information about the Etched In InkFest hosted by luvrofink and ltlerthqak.
Let's face it, we all enjoy a well written tattward or inkella in our Twific, so what better way than to celebrate all that is ink and body modifications then with the Etched In Inkfest.
This is not a contest, just entries to celebrate. They are looking for fandom peeps to send in blurbs and pics of their own body modification. They also are accepting fan art, inspired by any of the picspirations or a fic that's already been written. The entries can we anything from a o/s to an outtake for a WIP. They love them all. Squeeze My Lemon ~ April 4 Teaser
This week we are being squeezed by one of the entries for the Spring Squeezing Contest winners, Jessicanov201. Enjoy the teaser!
